| Only [[Home Menu]] itself checks gamecards' region when launching them. Therefore, any application launch that is done directly with [[NS]] without signaling Home Menu to launch the app, will result in region checks being bypassed.
This essentially means launching the gamecard with the [[NS_and_APT_Services|"ns:s"]] service. The main way to exploit this is to trigger a FIRM launch with an application specified, either with a normal FIRM launch or a hardware [[NSS:RebootSystem|reboot]].
